Growing up....

Grace turned 5 on June 30! I really can't believe that we have a kid going into kindergarten this year! We celebrated her birthday while in San Antonio visiting Grandma and Grandpa Lundeen and The Adams. We had fun with cousins and Aunts and even got to go to the circus. (Thanks for the pictures Krista!)........ Grace is a spunky little girl and fun to be around. She loves to play with anyone and is friendly to pretty much everyone we meet. At the park she doesn't hesitate to walk right up to kids and say "Hi, I'm Grace. Do you want to play?". We love that about her. She is quite the girl these days too and has a bit of a temper on her. A few weeks ago when she was upset at me for getting into trouble she turned and told me "You're treating me like a child!". Where she got that, who knows.....but we had to have a talk about how she IS a child. She has on occasion also informed me that I am ruining her life when it is time for quiet time and bed. I have a feeling we're in for lots of fun with her as a teenager. :) She is a terrific big sister to her siblings too. She and Abby call each other their best friends and they play for hours and both dote on baby brother.

Abigail turns 3 today!! She is getting so big too!! She is a more mild-tempered girl....She is oftentimes content just to rock and cuddle with her parents and really just wants to love her brother a little too much all of the time. She does copy pretty much everything Gracie does and is her shadow wherever we go. I think as much as she is going to miss Gracie while she's at school this Fall, she will enjoy being the older sister to Corban in playing with him. She also is freindly with people and has never had issues going into nursery....even in wards that we are visiting.
This one's for you Mom....See, it wasn't so long ago....

Corban just completes us right now. He babbles and coos and laughs all the time and just makes us all so happy. He has a lot more to "say" than either of sisters did at this age....He even stops eating sometimes because there is something important that he has to tell me. :) He is growing quickly---He's now in the 90th percentile for his weight and height and wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothing. :) He adores that attention from his older sisters and is SO CLOSE to being able to hold that head with bobbing it. :) Baths are still his very favorite thing. No matter how upset he is, put him water and he will smile. We love our little man.

The birds had left the nest.....It was fun watching them grow up and change.....so quickly too!!

And can I just say...my biggest complaint of TX right now....THE BUGS AND CRITTERS. Gross....We have had the house and yard routinely sprayed and never seem to be rid of spiders. earwhigs, beegs, wasps...etc.....We have decided to take matters into our own hands and will be spraing on our own probably more frequently than we should!

Yes, can you see that dark crab-like thing next to Grace's shoe...that would be a spider.....and huge one at that. I went out on the porch and sprayed it with bug killer until it stopped moving....I didn't want to get close to it... :) Go ahead...click and make it bigger...you know you want to....

And no, I don't mind grasshoppers so much. They sure scare my little scared girls though... :)

We're not sure what we have residing in this new hole in our backyard.....
I just noticed these new guys outside the office window while sitting here blogging....

The Moon, Birds, and a Boy

Craig was watching the moon come up the other night and tried to take a picture through the binoculars, not too bad, not too good, but still not too bad.

Our birds hatched their eggs and have been feeding them lately. Mom and Dad were away looking for food so we took a picture.

And Corban is just the best. Notice the airplanes... like his dad already.

Memorial Weekend

We had a fun weekend with family who came for Corban's blessing. The blessing went really well...Corban was great and didn't make a peep. :) We had a BBQ on Saturday and went for some walks in our beautiful parks on Sunday and Monday. We had a nice little outdoor shower during our Sunday walk and all the kids had a great time getting good and wet. :) Corban continues to grow by the day...His little cheeks and hands are getting chucky and I LOVE it. The girls and I are still adapting to life here in Texas as Craig continues to get used to the new job. It's crazy to think it's already been almost 2 months since we left our life in Albuquerque....

Blessing day:

Family pics my sister took for us (Thanks Krista!)

Fun with Cousins (and the burns afterward!!)

Love those lips!

Corban's hands always manage to find their way out of the blanket....

Sleepless, happy nights.... :)

We have made it through the first month...yay! Corban is growing well...He was 10 lbs. 11 oz. at his appt. this week. He tries really hard to hold up his little head and manages to roll over onto his side every night. :) The girls just adore him and are looking forward to him being more active. I know the day will come sooner than I;ll be ready. He really is sweet and although getting fussier than before, nothing beats cuddling the little guy! Life is good.....
