June

June

A few weeks ago severe storms rolled through the area--they were predicting all kinds of scary things...luckily we missed most of the severity from the storms, but still managed to capture some pictures of the ominous clouds...

Summer is here and it is HOT!! We have been battling the heat at splash pad parks, the pool, and sometimes just with cool water blasters in the backyard. :)

Lucy is a thumb-sucker....This is how she is found most mornings :)
These pictures don't really do her hair justice....It does stick straight up no matter what we do...People ask all the time if we do it on purpose....(We most certainly do not) :)

Since the move....

We made the move! We are currently trying our luck as Okies. :) The kids are adjusting well...It will be an adventure, that's for sure. :) We had such a crazy April...getting a new job, accepting it, and getting packed up and moved in 2 1/2 weeks. Not to mention having a 2 1/2 month old and almost 2 year old helper. :) I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone, but I do think all in all they were patient and with the help of some fabulous friends, it got done. Grace is doing well in her new school and we have all the essentials unpacked in the house. I am always amazed at the resiliency of kids...they really have been amazing with the move. I thought I'd share some pics from the past few weeks.

We made a quick weekend trip to SA to see family the weekend before the move...Here are the cousins on a picnic at the park

Sadly, our Mercury Sable just wasn't going to be able to make the trek, so we traded her in after many years of awesomeness and joined the Mormon minivan club...I love the ease of getting kiddos in and out of the car (not to mention the dvd system :))

Our little man turned 2 shortly after the move...He got his first train set and lots of airplanes...He was in little boy heaven and I've been appreciating the toys ever since...I love that he can go and play now for long streches of time...We sure love this little guy...He is finally starting to really talk and will ask for kisses and "huggies" all the time...

EASTER

One fun thing about OK is the weather...we have had some pretty good storms since we got here and some beautiful clouds....
HUGE hail

We planted a garden in the backyard this weekend...tomatoes, peppers, onions....

Lucy is 3 1/2 months now and smiles at anyone looking her direction. :) Love it!
Grace has been wearing glasses the past few weeks. She is not a fan when people say she looks adorable (she says adorable is for babies), but doesn't mind when people say she looks smarter :)

The Birds

Two posts in one week! :) Every evening around 5:00 at the corner where our grocery store is, HUNDREDS of these small birds gather. We don't know why, but they are very cool to watch. They literally line the telephone wires, traffic lights, trees and buildings. There are even a few patches of open grass where they will all congregate. The kiddos enjoy seeing the "freaky-out birds" so we went and snapped a few photos of them this week. We found they really didn't like the flash and would take off in huge flocks after every shot. Don't worry, they got us back by leaving plenty of spots on our car. :)

We're still around....

We are still around and as busy as ever!! Does anyone else feel like this entire year is just flying by way too quickly? Even the impending arrival of little girl number 3 seems to be coming at us at lightning speed (Don't worry--we are very ready for her to come!!). We enjoyed a fabulous visit with Great Granddad Gibson over the Thanksgiving holiday. The kids really loved all the attention and love and were sad to see him go. We love you Granddad! Grace wanted to do her school play again this year and they are performing "The Grinch" next week. Both girls have been taking a ballet/tap class that will performing next week as well so they have been busy little girls. Corban manages to keep himself busy doing anything at all--He is into everything he can reach and climbing on everything else. :) We are loving our busy life and our kiddos at these fun ages. Christmastime is so much greater as they kiddos get older and get as into the spirit of it as Craig and I do. Hope everyone out there who checks up on our blog is enjoying this magical season as well!!
