More on Corban....

Our sweet little boy is just a fantastic baby so far. The birth was a bit quicker than we had anticipated....Apparently I had been in labor for the better part of last Monday and didn't realize it. When I woke up with pains on Tuesday around 5 a.m. and my water broke I informed Craig it was time to get going. After dropping off our kiddos we arrived at the hospital around 5:30 a.m. and began checking in and filling out the necessary paperwork although I kept informing the people I'd really like an epidural as soon as possible. Of course, that was not able to happen. By the time the anesthesiologist showed up they informed him that he was no longer needed although I was insisting otherwise. The actual birth was very quick which was a blessing for me and he was born at 6:48 a.m. This sweet little man has just the sweetest disposition and is just loved to death by us all. We're working on his confusion on night and day, but he's so far been a great eater and sleeper and likes to spend time just being awake looking content. We've enjoyed having my Mom around a couple of days and visiting with more of the aunts last Friday. My incredibly talented sister Krista took some amazing pictures of both Corban and the girls while she was here last Friday (THANK YOU!! again).

Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Somalia Edition

The Rules:
1) You can not play alone.
2) You need a boat, (gasoline not required.)
3) Guns are required and rocket propelled grenades help too.

How to play:

With your friends and guns get in your boat and race out into ocean. Find a ship, the bigger the better. Now we get to the hard part. You and your friends have to get on the ship wave your guns around and then just wait. Money will be delivered at your behest. Now when the money is delivered be careful not to chase it overboard. Take the money and run.

After the first season they decided to change it up a bit. Now if for some reason the people on the ship fight back you may be forced to lie and take a hostage. Remember to keep all your friends together. Due to audience disappointment at the contestants always winning, several new outcomes have been introduced. Do not worry if you are planning on playing you are still in full control. The new phase is called the standoff round. This results when you fail to intimidate the people on the ship. Next time use bigger guns or find more timid people.

At this stage of the game your odds of winning the millions are slim, not to worry if you play correctly you still win. You may still successfully pull off millions but a much smaller amount than if you maintained control of the ship. Caution should be used with your guns now. The people watching you (usually a foreign Navy) will not respond well to force.

Now you are left with three outcomes:
1) Hold out for money.
2) Surrender.
3) Die.

Contestants may think that outcome 2 and 3 are not in the contestants favor. True death is not the best result but if you are Muslim you can start counting the virgins. If you surrender you will be brought to the most prosperous nation in the world and held in a prison system that will make you think that all Americans live like kings. Besides if you won the millions what would you buy, food from America that you can buy from the warlords in Somalia.

Now this season of Who Wants to be a Million, Somalia promises to be action packed and humanitarian as well. Changes for next season have been leaked and you could see the people on the target ships armed. Enjoy.

He Has Arrived.

Corban was born this morning at 6:48. He weighed 7lbs 12oz and is 20 inches long. Mother and son are doing well.

We are alive....and no, there's no baby yet

We have now been here in TX for 2 weeks and got our internet finally set back up. :) It was a long few weeks without it...
The girls have enjoyed the downpours that apparently frequent this area. We do have the house generally set up minus a few pictures that have yet to find a home on the wall. We have successfully evicted the mice that were here and have had the house sprayed down for any other creepy crawly creatures that are not welcome in my home. :) The carpets have been cleaned, and although the backyard already looks like a jungle again, we had the backyard cut and trimmed in the hopes of getting it ready for the girls to have a place to play.
The baby's clothes have all been washed and all of the equipment for him set up and cleaned. I have seen the O.B. a few times out here now and look forward to hopefully having our little man home with us soon. The girls talk to him often and like to publicly kiss and caress my belly. Sacrament meetings have been a little embarrassing with little girls fawning over my huge belly. I hope this kid is ready for the parade of affection waiting for him from his two excited little sisters. :) Grace especially is ready for all the rocking and holding although she is still pretty adamant that she will not be helping with diaper changes at all. :)
I'll post pictures soon....We took a lot over our nice, quiet little Easter and will take more of the house for those I know are waiting to see it. Until then, I hope you all have a good week. Hopefully I will have pics of a sweet little boy by my next post.

Packing.....

So, a week from today we should be settling into our new home in Texas. Life is absolutely crazy right now, but it is moving right along. We decided very quickly to try to get moved together before our little man shows up, so off we go! We have a fun weekend with friends ahead and then a busy, busy week. Craig will be driving with Abigail in the moving truck while Grace will be flying with me. We know our new address...e-mail me if you'd like it!

I'm such a blog slacker!

I'm a total junkie when it comes to keeping up on OTHER people's blogs, but I have been totally neglecting our own blog. We are still alive and just chugging right along with the month. I can't believe April is already just around the corner! We've had a lot of showings with our home, but no offers yet....
Anyway, here we are enjoying Sunday morning with Daddy....yes, I know I am looking a little big and frumpy... :)
