On Monday Craig took the afternoon off (I had to go to the dentist), so we spent the afternoon exploring. Craig took us to the Patriot's Point Naval and Maritime Museum. It was a very neat and humbling experience. We got to walk through the U.S.S. Yorktown (aircraft carrier), Congressional Medal of Honor Museum, Laffey (DD-724 Destroyer), the Clamagore (SS-343 Submarine), and a true to scale Vietnam base camp. It was very interesting to see so many different parts of the ship and walk through really the bulk of all three. They had a coast guard ship there too that we weren't able to make it to (the girls were done). It really is a well done setup. The ships and submarine were amazing and once again made me so grateful for the thousands of men who have gone out and served on all of them. Thank you to them all!
Wow...my kinda stuff...wish we could have been there too. One really doesn't fully realize and understand American ingenuity, design and engineering prowess until you are actually there up close to see for oneself. Kris
What a good wife you are Janessa! Now it's craigs turn to go shopping with YOU! by the way craig, Dayton's still got your name on it and don't forget we have a date in D.C. at the Air and Space museum!
